Maywood Academy High School

​GBLA at Maywood Academy is an amazing group of people dedicated to spreading awareness about sexual violence towards girls and women in both the school and surrounding community. Our goal is to stop violence against women by educating the public through our projects, inviting them to learn and understand how sexual violence harms them and others, and learn about how it can be prevented. We are women supporting women, and we are here to help, teach, and end the violence.

About the School

Maywood Academy High School is committed to facilitating a rigorous and personalized, student centered learning experience that is grounded in effective pedagogical strategies. In 2010, as part of the Public School Choice Process, the students, staff and parents elected to move from four SLCs to three: School of Liberal Arts (SoLA), School of Science, and School of Business and Technology.
